Week 48

Well it finally came.  I am serving in the heart of the Maryland Baltimore mission.  That's right,  Baltimore!!!  My new address is 24 N Linwood Ave, Baltimore MD and lemme just say it is going to be soo sweet!!  I literally feel like I am waking the streets of Mexico!  We have seen so much crazy stuff and also had soo many awesome miracles.  One we get to go to the temple to do a session on Thursday!  So I am really excited because this opportunity only comes once every 6 months.  I cannot believe it is my second time...  The mission is going by too fast.  My new companion is Elder Scott.  We went to mexico together when we couldn't speak Spanish a year ago and now we are companions again!  And we can teach and talk in Spanish!  It is like almost exactly a year later and pretty cool to see.  We are working on increasing our spirituality through obedience.  Let me just share a miracle that happened because of it.
So we were walking one evening after having such a great miracle with teaching people.  It was really cool because we found 3 new people to teach!! So we were so excited but we were a little late to an appointment that we had scheduled.. well the appointment wasn't there so elder scott asks, what now? Let's visit a LA named Abinadi... so we pray and I feel like we should just call him so we do... He says oh I'm not home till Thursdaycome then... All of a sudden, this Moreno opens his door and pokes his head out... before I can even think of the words I say hey do you know any one who speaks Spanish around here?  He looks around and says uh yeah right next door... we try and talk to him and he closes the door... ok we might as well knock... So we do and this lady shouts quien es?  we say misioneros!  We start talking thru the closed door and then finally she opens it and lets us in.  She gives us Arepas (salvadorean style best thing of my life) then we start sharing a message about Jesus Christ... Well as we are setting up a return appointment she tells us, you know I was literally just cooking this food and feeling alone.  I started praying to god to please help me and when I had finished my prayer you knocked my door.  I know that you are representatives of Jesus Christ and it is by the Holy Spirit that you are here to share a message that I need.  MY comp and I turn to each other like whoa are you serious?

As we thought about all the steps it took to find her, I have no doubt in our mind that God is in this work and he wants us to teach his children.  As we are obedient to the commandments of god and thru our agency in choosing him, he really does bless us.  That was such an amazing experience and I just love the lord so much.  He is so good to us!  I hope you all have a great day and a wonderful week.
Love

Week 47

I just wanted to say hi really quick ... Saida and Rudy didn't get married cuz we got 3 ft of snow!!!!  So they post poned but I may be able to come back when they do and do an exchange with my old companion Elder Leavitt cuz he's an assistant now!!  I'm so excited, he is the red head I was with when I was in Columbia for those 3 weeks... but now I'm going to BALTIMORE!!! It's gonna be crazy, But I'm companions with Elder Scott again, remember the HUGE guy I was with in the MTC in Mexico, ya we are together so that's a little better haha... but ya I have no time but tell everyone I say hi.

Week 46

Soo wanna know the worst place to go for hot chocolate... Dunkin donuts... the world definitely doesn't run on dunkin...

So how is everyone!!
Last week we saw the Lord's hand in everything we did.  Jose was going to be baptized last week but know as you know is traveling to Puerto Rico.  He left this morning but as we were meeting with him last night, he told us a miracle that had happened in Puerto Rico.  It just so happens that last Saturday, missionaries stopped by his best friend's house.  His best friend lives across the street from where he will be moving.  Well, his friend just received the missionaries last week and they invited him to church.  Jose told us that his friend felt something different about them so he went to Church in Puerto Rico with them and absolutely loved it.  So now Jose's best friend that lives in Puerto Rico is taking the missionary discussions there and has told Jose that they are going to read the Book of Mormon together and go to church!  Jose is really excited and feels like he is no longer alone in this journey that has been laid out for him.  He told us that he has never before in his life felt so close to god.  And as Jose posted a picture of himself in front of the Washington DC temple on Facebook, another friend from Puerto Rico is now fellowshipping him because they actually got sealed in the Washington DC temple!!!  We are so excited for Jose and just know that even though he wasn't able to be baptized here with us, that the Lord truly is preparing a way for him to make those covenants with him.  I have no doubt in my mind that this was the path that will truly bless the rest of Jose's life and we are just so glad we got to be apart of it.  The lord is so real.  And he truly does love each one of us.  Miracles!!!
Rudy and Saida are getting married on Saturday and Rudy should be baptized next Sunday!  We are sooo excited for them!! I am just praying that everything will work out for them!  Ah this has been the most stressful, best most miracle transfer of my mission!!  Last Sunday Rudy didn't even want to come to church!  But our Ward mission leader picked him up and man it was one of the best meetings we ever had.  The lord is everywhere.  Especially in the hard times.
I hope you all have a great week!! I love you!
